Tactical Rifles chose the 6.5 Grendel cartridge for the SPG (Special Purpose Grendel), the proprietary cartridge developed by Bill Alexander of Alexander Arms in 2002. Although considered an intermediate cartridge, the 6.5 Grendel was designed for use as a long-range cartridge in a nominal AR-15 rifle. This highly accurate cartridge can be used in the AR due to its low recoil and compact size. The SPG is a complete rifle system coming with everything you need to hit those long shots with ease. A Vortex Viper 4-24×50 sits on top of the rifle with some extra goodies included (Padded Magpul MS1 sling, 30 rnd mag, 20 rnd mag, and green 36″ double rifle case.
